The Story is About   +  YA Connection

YA Connection: January 2-8

The YA Connection is a accumulation of links from around the YA blogosphere. Here you can find author blog links, review link, a place to share your contests, and miscellaneous new pertaining to young adult literature.

I had a few suggestions made in reference to YAC as a part of the recent survey I held. Most of you enjoyed the YAC, but found the plethora of information to be daunting. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing!

So, I'll be choosing only five thing to highlight in each category, including new reads. Discontinuing author and book spotlight.

Author Musings:

Chelsea Campbell (The Rise of Renegade X) shared some very exciting news...!! Congrats Chelsea!

Melissa Walker (Lovestruck Summer) has a Cover Story with Eileen Cook author of Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood.

Bree Despain (The Dark Divine) shows off some pictures from her launch party, it looks like she had a fantatic time!

Kiersten White (Paranormalcy) did a three part q&a on her blog this week. So very entertaining! Part One, Two & Three.

This was actually from last week, but Jackson Pearce (Sisters Red) did this awesome vlog, that you can view at her blog... Everybody's Free.

Or you can watch it right here... this might have made me cry.

Blogger Blurbs:

Khy of the Frenetic Reader reviewed Leaving Gee's Bend by Irene Latham. "Leaving Gee's Bend reminds me of a book you would read for school, but not one of the school books that makes you want to kill your teacher for assigning it."

Yan of Books By Their Cover reviewed Almost Perfect by Brian Katcher. "It’s bit of a tedious read with some splashes of scandals, but the majority is just character development and build-up."

Liz of A Chair, A Fireplace and a Tea Cozy reviewed The Heist by Ally Carter. "The Good: What is good? Every. single. page. Likable characters that you want to spend time with, plenty of humor, great action, a wee bit of art history, a variety of exciting locations, strong female characters, and cute guys. What more does a reader want?"

Chelsea of The Page Flipper reviewed The Declaration by Gemma Malley. "The ending was inspiring and beautiful and left me craving the sequel, The Resistance. It totally set me in the mood for more dystopian lit."

Tirzah of The Compulsive Reader reviewed Numbers by Rachel Ward. "Rachel Ward's Numbers is a surprising novel with a very interesting and unconventional concept."
